I just tried to stream from my iPhone 13 Mini to Apple TV. Was working fine last night. Now I get audio but no video.

I have the same problem since yesterday. Can’t stream from my iPad to Apple TV. I get a black screen, with audio, no video.
Was working fine until May 2.

Have the same issue since ios updated to 16.4.1(a), airplay was working prior to ios update.

Same issue with me, I just bought a new Apple TV, and assumed that it was an issue with the hardware until I tried it on the older Apple TV that it always worked on.

When will the new update be released to resolve the issue?

This also seems to be happening when my iPad is connected to my TV with an HDMI to USB-C adapter

A fix was submitted for review to Apple yesterday. Depends on them to release it.

Awesome! Does this fix repair all the other issues users have been posting about? The closing videos issues, the weird “Open In VLC” button quirk etc?

Screen mirroring still seems to be broken for me. That has worked perfectly for the last 2 years, and unfortunately, the update (for me) has not fixed it.
Updated to 3.4.1 and get the following:
Screen Mirroring: When I play a video, Apple TV mirrors the iphone instead of switching to full screen video output. So you see the phone in the middle 1/3rd of the TV playing a copy of the video.

My frend still has 3.3.12 installed, when she screen mirrors to Apple TV and plays a video, it INSTANTLY plays the video full screen on the TV and the phone goes black. This is how it always used to be for me too,

Out of interest I tried Airplay within the VLC app, the Apple TV remained on the home screen full of apps, while I could hear the video playing on the TV speaker. It refused to display the picture.

Hope that helps, I am sure there is a fix for this, it has worked perfectly for years and years, something major must have changed with the 3.4 update?

I think it’s to do with a combination of the new VLC updates and Apple’s own 16.4.1(a) update, as I’m still finding the integration between the Files apps “Open in VLC” and the Share Sheet option within Files to be broken, even after this new 3.4.1 update!
