As a recent cord cutter, I purchased Apple TV 4k (2nd gen) running TvOS 16.2 and was happy to find out that I could upload video files to it by using the Remote Playback feature on VLC. I usually fall asleep with the TV on, so I like that I can play movies locally without burning through my data. I've uploaded several .mp4 and have set the "Automatically play next item" to OFF as I want Apple TV to go to sleep after it plays the movie. The problem is once it plays the one movie, it goes on to play the next movie even though I have the "Automatically play next item" set to OFF. I set the sleep timer on my TV but unfortunately I can't use my TV to put Apple TV to sleep as it is an older TV, but if VLC doesn't play the next movie, then Apple TV should go to sleep. Meanwhile, when I wake up Apple TV is still on playing the movies on the Remote Playback server. I can't figure out how to make this work. Is it because it's cached media? Anyway, hopefully this makes sense. Note: While I am somewhat tech savvy, I am not very familiar with VLC or media settings, so maybe there is something I'm missing. Thanks in advance for your help.
