VLC doesnt find chromecast audio

VLC on iphone wont pick up the chromecast audio device (so cant cast). The chromecast device is working fine (Tidal app finds it fine for example). To add to diagnosis challenge, it has occasionally found it (no repeatability, and very rarely). Any suggestions. All upgrades done, reboots etc.

Additional. Works fine from VLC on a macbook. It is just the iphone version that isnt picking it up…. Any advice/help welcome. Thanks.
