Can't delete files from VLC on iOS

Hi. I use VLC app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max device. I always import movies from iTunes to iPhone.

When I delete the movies on iTunes or inside the VLC app (it doesn't matter) all files are going to system data on iOS. I mean I can't see the files but they are takes up space on my phone. How can I get rid off this problem?

I had the same problem before and I solved it by factory resetting phone. VLC is really useful and I'm happy to use it actively. I don't want to stop using it because of this problem. I hope there is a solution.

I am facing the same issue.

Despite’s deleting file from both Settings and in-app, it still takes up data in the system.

Tried offloading and deleting+reinstalling app, it doesn’t work.

Tested this twice before restoring phone and finding out that restoring phone works.

Good evening. I personally faced the same problem in general. After copying files to iPhone. Through "shared files". And after playing them there and further deletion. I personally found that the space on my iPhone in the "storage" was not freed up. I've tried disabling "VLC" app sync with "iCloud" and rebooting the phone. But it didn't help me personally. The file size is 90 gigabytes. And these 90 gigabytes are now hanging in me in the "system data" section. What should I do in this case and how to solve this problem? As I see it is massive. Unfortunately. Based on messages from people above me.

I just want to simply solve it tritely and find a way out of this situation on my own or with the help of you. I don't know the problem is on your side or Apple's side. I ask you to give me an answer to my request. And help me. As fast as it will be possible for you.

Regards, Oleg.
