Please add support for Shortcuts actions in VLC for iOS.
That will make much easier to manage media files, using shortcuts scripts to import/export, create and manage m3u playlists, import or convert media files, merge, split or concatenate media files, bookmark audio to support audiobook reading (.m4b), recover iptv streams addresses and store, categorize and discover favorite music genres, integrate Shazam recognition technology, automatically recover metadata and art, detect tempo and bpm to categorize songs, track episodes and shows already watched, search and download subtitles, backup and restore the media library, use a-Shell to make a bridge between VLC and all the powerful ffmpeg options, and finally getting to easily do batch operations on files both locally, on the NAS and on the clouds using the already existing VLC transcoding functionalities.
A lot of work will be taken off the shoulders of the heroic VLC iOS developers, and at the same time it will open a world of options and ideas for users like me and for the thousands of developers already writing shortcuts (see the lively dev scene at sites like routinehub.co). Just exposing a few basic VLC functionalities as shortcuts actions, along with a feedback option like the "back to shortcuts" used by the popular a-Shell app, and all those features will be made by us and integrated via simple shortcuts. This will enrich the VLC functionalities beyond anything seen before on iOS (especially considering the sorely lacking video/audio players on the apple platforms, all pretty limited or too expensive with insane monthly charges).
I sincerely hope that the VLC iOS developers would make this a priority for the next release.
