Does the VLC Remote Playback feature (I'm using it on an Apple TV 4th gen) consume any internet data?
I'm using it to cast movies/TV shows and would like to know if this has any impact on my data usage.

Hi,

The streaming itself is not using any internet data, it's going through local wi-fi network or wifi-direct, so it never reaches your internet provider.
I don't know whether it's using internet data to authenticate you and the device though, but data usage should be fairly low then.
