Hi there,

since the new update it is not possible to watch my IPTV channels properly on my iPad Pro 12.9 (iPadOS 15.4).

course of action:
I generated an m3u file through my fritzbox (cable) an uploaded this m3u file onto my iCloud.
In vlc player on iPadOS I clicked "network" on the bottom bar, tapped "local files" from the top, went to my icloud, chose the m3u file and then the IPTV playlist was accessible from "playlists".

But now when I switch to a channel, 2 seconds after it starts playing, it either simply stops playing, returning to the playlist or switches to the next channel. That procedure repeats until it returns to the playlist overview.

That's really annoying!

Before the update I could watch my IPTV properly. But now, the vlc player is of no use - on iPadOS that is!
On my PC the m3u file works fine in VLC player.

Do I really need to wait for an iPadOS version update?!
Or can I test something in VLC player on my iPad?

No issue? No bug?

Can we have a debug log please? You can enable debug logging at the bottom of the Settings screen within the VLC app on iPad. Then, play your thing. Then open the Files app and see the "Logs" folder within VLC.

This is a bit short and shows that playback terminates mid playback. Can you try to do a bit longer?

I am afraid I am not able to comply.
Playback just terminates almost instantly without my input!

I just dab on a channel, then it takes one or two seconds to play, then it plays for 3 seconds or so, then it suddenly stops.
The m3u file works fine in VLC on my windows 10 PC.

I am puzzled. What else can be done here?

Can you DM me the playlist so I can try myself?

Might be a bit late on this.
We had a similar problem with v3.3.7 and iOS’s before 15.5.
Update to 15.5 fixed it, unfortunately, 15.6 was just released and this same bug has returned.

Aw, no....

Maybe Apple changed iOS's security mechanics?

After an update, I had the same kind of trouble with my IPTV playlist on my iPad. It was super annoying because it used to work perfectly before. I tried fixing it by reinstalling the app and clearing stuff, but nothing helped.

So, I switched to Nederlandse iptv. It's been perfect for me. I only pay 15 euros each month, and it's just 99 euros for a whole year. With this, I can watch over 7000 channels and loads of movies in excellent quality, like HD and 4K. The cool thing is I can watch it anywhere, even when I'm not at home. It also works on different things like my smart TV and my phone. This change fixed my IPTV problem, and I got more to watch.
