Hi Team,

got today’s update 3.3.0 (418) and the replaced Upnp-Library doesn‘t seem to work with AVM Fritzbox (7490) with current firmware.
It shows up the Fritzbox Upnp in the list but if I choose it, there‘s a page showing up „Control&ObjectID=0“ with no further options.
I already saw some more users e.g. at ifun.de telling about the same problem. Uninstalling, reboot and new installation of VLC on the iPhone didn‘t help, also the restart of the Fritzbox was useless.
What can I do?

The problem is that your Fritzbox' UPnP server is listing on the IPv6 socket only if your LAN is in IPv4/IPv6 dual stack mode. This is a scenario that VLC currently does not support and it seems that Fritzbox is the only company employing such a behavior. We are currently looking into it but there is no fix. The only workaround for you is to disable IPv6 and enforce IPv4 - then, it will work.

We found a fix. Beta this week, public release with the fix next week.

Please don‘t forget about the huge market share that AVM has at least in Germany with Fritzboxes, if not in central western Europe, while implementing new features.

Thank you for the prompt bugfixes with today’s update. Upnp with Fritzbox works now. That eases the usage of VLC in a lot of cases.
