AppleTV - smb server issue

Dear all,
VLC on AppleTV was able to access my smb server until a couple of days ago when I updated the server.
Now my smb server icon is still displayed but no file is shown when I open it. I can, however, access the file if I use the "connect generic server" capability.
So:
1. Any way to delete the pre-sets for my smb server and save a new pre-set?
2. If the above is not possible, is there any way to completely reset the app to default? I already tried deleting it and re-installing it but the settings were retained.

I'm also having problems with VLC on Apple TV. Until recently I could access my Synology server using UPNP, but following the move to DSM7, I can only access it via SMB.
In practice this works but VLC refuses to remember the settings info - User/password etc - even though I tell it to Save. Is this a known bug and is there any chance this will be fixed soon?

Those issues should have been fixed but hasn't been released yet.

Hi,
thanks for providing access to the beta version.
The login details are now correctly retained however I cannot access my server using the icon in the "Local Network" page (the "wheel" keeps spinning over and over) but I can access it using the "Connect generic server" capability.

I'm glad that the login issue is fixed!
As for the spinning issue, we might want to investigate more there.
Could you remind me the "specs" of your server? That is all the potentially useful information such as the protocol or steps to reproduce the issue.

The saving of credentials hasn't been working for many years! Why is the app not being updated on the App Store for so long?
Unfortunately, recently more CRITICAL issues have added to that:
1. MacBook Pro 2021 (M1) is constantly disappearing from the list of devices, most time it's not visible.
2. VLC doesn't work with the Guest SMB authentication on MacBook Pro 2021 (M1). It's enabled on the MacBook.
3. Sometimes, the list of shared folders is displayed as empty on MacBook Pro 2021 (M1).
Overall, the stability of SMB protocol is extremely low in VLC for Apple TV.
All three issues are present in the latest beta 3.1.0 (408). Issue 1 is CRITICAL.

I'm having the same problem from iOS/tvOS. Playing from Android still work.
