Confidentiality in VLC or iOS

Hi there,
I've been using VLC for iOS for a while and I must say that it works great.
However, since Apple introduced the Files app, I see all my files accessible in clear view in the "VLC" folder, even though I set a passcode for the VLC app !
Furthermore, they can also be accessed via the File Sharing menu of iTunes when connected to a computer, even if the phone is still locked !
It would mean that the passcode isn't a protection for the content, but rather for the player.
That seems like a serious confidentiality concern to me. What if I don't, positively, want people to be able to access my video library ?
I'm on VLC for iOS 3.2.13 with iOS 12.5 on iPhone 6
Much thanks
