VLC for iOS only plays first song in m3u playlist?

iOS app version 3.2.6(344)
I'm kinda stumped on this and my Google Fu has failed me.
My setup:
Samba server with all my music + m3u playlists (which have been created by VLC)
IOS devices with VLC on the same network as the Samba server
I pull up the playlist via network stream using smb://<IP/hostname>/playlist.m3u or browsing to it using File Servers part of the Network tab. Doesn't seem to make a difference.
When I try to play the m3u playlist only the first song in the playlist will play. So say I have a playlist of:
If I modify the playlist to be:
I have no problems with any of these playlists using desktop VLC over Samba they will play all the songs. I do not have an Android to test this on either. I tried this on my Apple TV and it behaves as expected and plays all the songs.
