Default Saturation Question

Postby dedok3000 » 17 Feb 2019 23:23

Hi, I'm using the latest version of VLC on iPad and I noticed that even if I press the Reset button in the "hue/saturation" panel (I don't know how it's called, but you know what I mean), close the video and open it again, pressing the Reset button will still change the saturation. Why? Does this mean VLC applies some effects by default right after opening a file?

Hello,

Indeed, I created a ticket for this issue here.

Thank you for the report!
Hi,

It’s been 1 year since I reported this issue... Any updates on this?

Also, I’m still not quite sure if I should press the reset button every time I open a video or not. It seems like videos look more saturated compared to other players like Infuse if I don’t press reset after opening the file, but I’m not sure if it’s ok or not... Please let me know as I hate knowing the colors on my videos might be wrong.

Thanks.

Dan.

Anybody? It’s not a minor issue in my opinion if colors are wrong by default!
