Since updating to 3.1.3 yesterday. Any video files I play has no audio when wearing airpods. Sound works on iPhone but connect airpods a s it just goes mute

Please update this so I know as I currently have to use normal head phones. And i bought apple airpods specially for watching videos on my way to work.

Just for the record: does this affect AAC audio tracks only or does it also happen for other audio codecs?

I will have to see the audio codec of the files im using and get back to you

I have tried an mkv and an mp4

its weird that one of them started playing sound but when i paused it and then played it again teh sound was gone and wouldnt come back on.

Both now dont play sound unless u disconnect the airpods, play it on normal iphone speaker first then connect airpod but cannot pause it,

Its definetly not working as it should

We have a similar problem with other Bluetooth 5.0 headsets and I'll receive a test device tomorrow to investigate. Thanks for the feedback!

Any update on this as I still cannot use my airpods to watxh any videos on my phone. And its kind of a pqin

Have you fixed the issues with Apple Airpods becuase i still cannot play certain video files and its annoying i have to carry around two sets of headphones

This issue should be improved in version 3.1.4 with refinements to come in 3.1.5. Please make sure to use iOS 12.1 or later.

Please give a shout on this thread as soon as you updated the latest iOS and VLC versions and give feedback if the problem is gone or not. Thanks!

Sometimes it can be resolved just by switching off the device and restarting again.
Try this once.

This issue is still present using Airpods on an iPad mini 4 or iPhone X with 'VLC for Mobile' (v 3.1.9) and iOS 12.3.1.

This is still a problem as I started using a different app. Came back to Vlc but airpods don't work

We have a proper fix for the next update now.
