Problems with Chromecast on my TV from my Apple iPad and iPhone

Hi there I’m new to this forum and I’ve been trying to activate the Chromecast onto my Panasonic TV from the VLC App from my Apple iPad Air or my Apple iPhone 7+ to no avail as nothing is appearing on my TV. Chromecast is working ok from all my other Apps. Hope you can help.

Is the Chromecast button appears well on the top right on VLC-iOS?

Yes it is. I’m wondering if it’s a software problem and whether there might have to be a new software update to the App on my iPad and iPhone.

Weird, so when you click on the Chromecast button and launch a media, what happens?

The webcam goes blank on my iPad screen and says Chromecast connected, but nothing happens or changes on my TV screen. Chromecast does work on my TV from YouTube for example.

I'm not sure what you mean by webcam.
Could you confirm the version of VLC-iOS and the devices iOS you're using please?
