Resuming video playback with last used aspect ratio

Hi,
is there a way that the iOS app is able to remember the last used video aspect ratio?
Example: When I start playing a video source and stop the video, VLC switches back in overview mode and the last screen frame together with remaining view-time is shown in the thumbnail for that video. When I click the thumbnail, VLC resumes playback at the previous timestamp where I left off.
This works great, however: if my video source file is let's say in 4:3 format, VLC will always resume the video with the default aspect ratio (which works great for the majority of videos I guess) - but I would then manually change to 4:3 every time I resume watching. It's not a critical issue but just a little annoying sometimes.
Is it thus possible to save/remember the last used aspect ratio when a video playback is stopped, to resume with the previously used aspect ratio (instead of always "default")?
Hope that makes sense.
