VLC for AppleTV 4 Won't Play After Pausing

Hi everyone.

I've tried all three ways to play video files (in both .mp4 and .mkv formats), and the same problems occur:

1) Videos won't play after I pause. The only way to play them is to press and hold the microphone key on the remote and say "play"
2) Screensaver starts while watching videos.

I understand I can set the screensaver and sleep times to "never," but I use a lot of other apps and the auto-sleep feature is useful for me.
I know they're merely minor inconveniences, but nonetheless I'd love to watch videos as intended, and to not make exceptions for the app.

Are there settings within the app that I am missing? Is this an ongoing issue? Tried searching, but I couldn't find any permanent solutions.

Hello,

Could you try resuming the video by clicking on the trackpad once?

Yes, can confirm. Wow, didn't even realize that was possible.

I agree that this is quite hidden but I'm glad it worked!
Please use this as an alternative while the play/pause button is getting fixed. :D

Sorry for the inconvenience.
