Media organization of VLC for iOS

I imported my music. Some of them were put into albums that I cannot add to my music folder. I cannot unpack them or put individual files within to that folder. I just want to separate the music from videos in "All Files".

Heck, how do I even sort my media alphabetically? Don't tell me it can only sort by upload timestamp...

It's bad enough that traditional folders aren't supported (iOS lockdown), but it's quite disappointing for an app like VLC.

Lastly, how are "TV Shows" detected? Thanks.

TV shows are being detected by the typical filename pattern such as "TV ShowName S01E23 Episode Name.mp4".

The other sorting problems you mentioned will be resolved by a major update of the iOS later this year.

Sorry about that late reply, I kinda forgot TBH.

For now, I will use something else. Good luck with the project.

I'm wondering the same thing! How can VLC's UI can be so disappointing with no sorting options? And how come its not improved yet? I'm a loyal VLC user, back from windows xp. IOS having vlc was my shock of a lifetime but that excitement faded with this poor interface and lack of some basic and simple features. I'm rooting for this project so please work around it. Thanks for making VLC for IOS but it still needs drastic basic improvements.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
We're currently working towards a new UI that will be more friendly, modern and with features such as sorting!
