Hello! Just want to say first that VLC is the boss when it comes to libre multimedia use. Love it, wouldn't want to do without it.
However I have a workflow on my iPhone that involves appending lines to a TXT file in my iCloud folder, and sometimes I need to preview that file to verify that a line has been successfully added.
Previously, the TXT file previewed within the Files.app, but recently this has changed - tapping on the file attempts to open it in VLC. I'm guessing that the VLC.app has 'told' the Files.app that it can open anything (which isn't far from the truth!), but clearly my TXT file does nothing on VLC and so VLC just opens as if I'd tapped its icon.
I guess it's not great practice for VLC to claim to be able to use any file at all because that's not actually the case. Ideally the iOS Files.app would have an 'Open with...' function, but it doesn't. Nor can I find a setting within VLC to prevent it from jacking my TXT files.
This is probably a really niche use case, but if anybody has any suggestions I'd be really grateful.
Cheers
