Audio cuts out using Bluetooth Headphones

Started using Sennheiser CX6.00BT headphones with VLC on iPhone 7 recently. When an iMessage is received and I switch from VLC, read the message and return to VLC, more often than not the audio cuts out. Equally if I change to the Music app, play music and then return to VLC audio doesn’t play.

I’ve tested an alternative by running videos on PlayerXtreme. This app seems to handle flicking between apps and sending audio to Bluetooth headphones consistently.

Sometimes scrubbing audio helps or my changing audio sync speed - not very user friendly.

Any thoughts on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Hello, next VLC release (3.0.2) will fix this issue.

In the meantime, you could test with a nightly build here: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/mac ... 7-0516.dmg

I still continue to have the same issue with no noise on commencing video playback. To overcome this, I typically shut shut all other apps in the background and then have to scrub the audio back and forth and try to get it back to 0 seconds.

As a test, I imported a MP4 into Apple TV App through iTunes - (Home Videos) and using the headphones the audio played flawlessly. Switching back to VLC 3.1.3, video commenced with no audio. Disconnecting the blue tooth headphones, the video plays as expected though the iPhone speakers.

It appears to be the manner in which VLC deals with audio when having to push it via Bluetooth.

Any ideas?
