Missing ability to add manually custom FTP server on Apple TV app

Hi, guys.

I have been using VLC for macOS many years and want to say the same about tvOS app, but I can't.
On Apple TV, we currently don't have a UI to open random FTP servers. They need to be discovered via Bonjour and then it works. This limitation will be resolved in subsequent releases. Note that VLC-tvOS also supports SMB servers including authentication. Future releases will add support for nfs, which is already supported by the Android variants of VLC.
I have found mentioned above answer on this topic: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... tp#p445382. It was provided by Felix Paul Kuehne more than one and half years ago!

VLC 3.0 for tvOS is here, but I still can't watch the videos from the custom FTP server.

I have only one simple question: when I will be able to add custom FTP server from the VLC app on my Apple TV?

As soon as a volunteer steps-up and implements the UI needed for this. As it is already done on iOS, it is not difficult. I stopped working full-time on VLC in September 2016 so there wasn't much going on with the iOS and tvOS ports for about a year. Things are changing now and development is well under way again, but things like this are still not done. Help is welcome!
