deletion of files within a "subgroup"

VLC is the only video player I'm using on my iPad, and I'm very happy about it.
However, one single thing which bothers me is when I need to delete files which have been grouped, as they belong to a same show.
When I proceed to deletion of a file, the media library get back one level up, to the "higher level". It therefore happened to me twice, that when deleting multiple files, I first delete the first file, and then by mistake I delete the complete show !
Could the behaviour be amended in either one of those 2 ways :
1) When deleting files, the media library 'stays' in the current folder, and does not get one level higher
2) When a grouping is selected, could a confirmation be asked, to avoid deleting a whole bunch of file by mistake ?
Thanks !
