MediaMonkey File Sync

Postby sjv » 30 Jul 2017 16:35

I use Mediamonkey to manage all my mp3 music on my PC.
I successfully am able to sync my Mediamonkey library (approx 15,000 MP3's) to my IPOD, Android devices, and my Iphone 7+
However, VLC still shows an empty media library.
I have considered but not tries the wifi sync method to the iphone; this defeats my use of Mediamonkey, which is not desireable.
Question: if I do use the wifi sync to VLC method, does it create NEW files on my iphone 7+ ?
If so, I would have to delete everything on the iphone first, as there would not be space to hold tow copies of all of the files.
My main purpose is a better player for MP3 music than the stock player on the iphone.
I may also use VLC for streaming radio, but thats about all - just music.

Can't VLC jus simply allow me to play files from what is already on the iphone? Why does it need it's own special copy?

Thanks in advance for your help
