Screensaver runs during Apple TV VLC app video playback

When using "Remote Playback" to play a video on the Apple TV VLC app, the tvOS thinks VLC is idling and allows the screensaver to kick in. Anyone have a solution for this (besides disabling the tvOS screensaver globally)? (No other video app on tvOS has this issue.)

Please give more details how to reproduce. We see those reports from time to time, but I never managed to see this myself.

it happened to me at about 10 minutes into a video that was about 1 hour total. No actions on my side precipitated it. It just went to screen saver. Hitting Menu brought it back, video stuttered but continued to play.

I was using remote playback on an mp4 file.

This happens when VLC was running and the Apple TV goes to sleep. Then when coming out of sleep and you continue playing the screensaver will come on. Closing VLC and re-opening stops it from happening.

Bumping this. I'm on version 3.0.12 (414), and I still see this issue.

Same repro steps as before:
1. Upload any video file type to "Remote Playback".
2. Let the video start autoplaying on the tvOS app as it's still uploading from http://[hostname].local on your computer.
3. Notice that the tvOS screensaver eventually starts during playback.

The workaround all these years has still been to exit video playback and return to the "Remote Playback" tab, start video playback again, and scrub to the timecode where the screensaver kicked in. It's not great.

Any fixes planned?
