Issue with asf streaming from IP webcam on iOS 9

Hello,

I have been using VLC for iOS to view an asf stream from my IP webcam from an iPhone running iOS 8. I recently got a new iPhone and upgraded to iOS 9 and have been having trouble loading the stream, despite it still working perfectly on my old phone. The version of VLC is identical (2.7.7). I attempted on my iPad and on another iPhone, both running iOS 9, and had the same issue. I even tried a different media player and also could not load the stream, although I haven't verified this player works with iOS 8.

I wondered if anybody else has experienced similar issues, or might be able to point to any possible solutions?
