Unable to open .pls files since last update

I am using a PLS file that contains a list of all reachable TV Streams
Unless there is a way to save those streams somehow differently, that would be really good to put this capability back. On the standard VLC, this would show as a List of TV Channels.
Unfortunately the last update for AppleTV seam to be ignoring *.pls filesFile1=rtp://@239.35.10.1:10000
Title1=(1) Das Erste HD
File2=rtp://@239.35.10.2:10000
Title2=(2) ZDF HD
