(Music) Playback does not advance

Hello Forum,
the playlist does not advance to the next item in version 2.6.6 or maybe the problem is the playlist itself. I placed a 500MB folder full of mp3 into this ipod touch 4g and expect them to be played one after another, but the playback will stop after the file finishes. I can, however, set repeat song.
I doubt i already have a playlist, I just sent these files to the afc://(long number)/org.videolan.vlc-ios/Documents folder in Ubuntu.
Thanks for this otherwise cool movie Player!!

This German thread says it is not yet possible. Thanks to everyone who will make a VLC fork for playing music continuously, maybe even providing an older version for my 6.1.6 ipod 4g :-D

I solved it for me with appstore app called Rushplayer Lite. Not free like VLC but I succeeded in playing music continuously. Gets mounted (Documents >> Rushplayer Lite folder Documents , put the music here, I failed with mass uploading per Wifi/FTP server) on the common, updated Ipod touch 4g...sorry for offtopic

It's definitely possible, I use it daily.

It doesn't work for individual songs, but will cycle through an album.

If your files don't have any metadata (like ID3 tags) linking them together, they're treated as separate files.
