Transfer over wifi

Hi all,

I apologise if this is a known bug, but for the life of me I can't find anyone else who seems to be having this problem.

Discovering the VLC on iOS' 'transfer over wifi' function was a sliced bread moment - once I could do it I wondered how I ever did without. But that was then and this is now, and it's stopped working.

I have the same problem in both Chrome and Firefox and on multiple Apple devices.

When I select a file to transfer, VLC begins like it should but it doesn't actually transfer the file, it sits there for a while displaying the file name but never actual shows any percentage complete. Eventually the file just disappears.

I'm really at a loss for what might be causing it. I can't try a different computer, as its my only one, but I've tried turning off AVG and other programmes that could interfere and nothing seems to work.

Is there a known cause for this behaviour, or is there any more information that it might help for me to provide?

Thanks for any help in advance! Much appreciated.

Mike

Tried to restart VLC on iPad/iPhone and your WiFi spot already?

I have the same issue. Anyone know what the problem is? At first I thought it was because I couldn't transfer multiple files at the same time. Now it's not even working when I transfer 1 video at a time.

Sometimes it will show the % progress then it disappears. Other times it doesn't even show the % progress bar, would sit there and then disappear.
