Playing Wrong Title

I am a longtime user of VLC for IOS so when it came to ATV4 I immediately installed it. However, I have a terrible problem (never experienced in the IOS version) that involves playing the wrong title selected. I. Example, when I select "The Martian" it plays "Transformers - Age of Execution." There are some 75 titles in between these two on the server so it's not as though it selected the one next door. It does this for many titles and I cannot find the problem or other posts that address this. Any thoughts?

I use a WD EX DLNA NAS server for storage and I have tried forcing it to sort but makes no difference. I also tried deleting the app and reinstalling it as well, but no luck.

I hate to think I won't be able to use this new app on my ATV4, but it is the only one of these media player apps that does this. I have three others which would be removed if I could only get the VLC app to work. HELP!

I too am having that problem, WD EX4 NAS using the built-in DLNA server (I can't log into SMB, but thats for another post) If I have a directory with only 2 files in it, it plays whats selected, but a larger one, you ask for file A, you get file H, ask for file H, get file C, there is no rhyme or reason as for what it chooses to select, this is obviously a deal breaker for me but I do realize this is an all new platform and app, so ill be patient and am willing to help in any way possible. I do not have this problem on any other of my devices, 2 Rokus, a PS3, Oppo Blu-ray, PC, etc.

Hello,

This issue is resolved in the 1.0.1 release of VLC for Apple TV. The update is being reviewed by Apple for 1.5 days now - so whenever they are ready, it will be in your hands! :)

Note that app updates are installed automatically on Apple TV, so all you will (see unless you monitor the store closely) is a blue dot on the app launcher.
