Time Cap on Looping video

We are trying to use the VLC player to loop videos in a folder. We have noticed that the player stops looping our video list after two hours and returns to the VLC menu.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a work around?

Thanks.

Which version are you using and which platform/device?

IIRC I had a playlist-repeat running at a wedding for more than 2 hours without any issues.
It was a beta-version of VLC for iOS 2.6.0 where we first introduced the playlist-repeat-mode on the iOS platform.

Thanks.

I am using an iPad Air 2, iOS 9.1. I just downloaded VLC, so I assume we are using the most up to date version.

We have set auto-lock to Never, set Airplane Mode and turned off Auto-Updates.

I've also had a 'capping' issue. I'm using older versions on older devices. Not sure when they quit to home screen, but two hours sounds about right. I'm on iOS 6.1.6 on an iPod mc540ll, and 7.1.2 on an iPhone mc318ll. Both quit about the same time. VLC 2.6.6
