File names sorted literally, not intuitively (numerically)

Hey there,
I have recently installed VLC for iOS on my iPhone and have noticed that the file names are sorted literally, not intuitively (numerically). See below for an example of what I mean:
Intuitive:
1
2
3
22
33
111
246
Literal:
1
111
2
22
246
3
33
How can I sort the files intuitively? Currently I have over 700 video files which are numbered, and having to scroll up and down all the time to go through them in numerical order is quite frustrating. I couldn't find any setting within the app, but I could be missing something. If the functionality isn't built in, could you push this change out in an update?
Thanks,
J
