Sorting Files into Folders

Postby infernojericho » 11 Aug 2015 18:42

Hi, I am using VLC for iOS, 2.5.1, and I have a question on Folders that I am pulling my hair out

How do you sort videos into different folders???

Some of the videos I transfer gets categorized into different folders, while some do not. For example, VLC detects some of the sitcoms have similar filenames, and they end up categorized into their own dedicated folder. While some other videos that have similar filenames do not get categorized, and I end up with a massive number of videos in the root folder, which is annoying.

Does anyone know how VLC manages to filter files into folders? Is it only based on the filename? Or is based on the metatags within the video? Or something else that I am missing?

Thanks!!!
