Vlc for IOS 2.6.3 Upnp

Today I updated to the new Vlc for iOS 2.6.3 and I can't access my NAS server in the way I used it. It's possible to download movies from my FritzBox NAS but it's impossible to stream the movie directly! I had the older version on my iPhone and then I tested my NAS server there and it worked fine! After update on my iPhone to the newest Vlc version I got there the same bug! I don't know if it's here the right place to report the bug - I hope so!

We need more details about the NAS you are using. AVM is doing a lot of devices, you know ;)

Further, is your FritzBox firmware up-to-date?

I actually have the same issue. I use Serviio Media Server on my Windows computer to stream to various devices using UPnP.

This worked using VLC for iOS 2.6.2 this morning but after upgrading to 2.6.3 later today it stopped working. I'm using the latest version of my server software & the configuration hasn't changed.

I can see my library through UPnP but when I touch the screen to select a file for playback it doesn't do anything. When I then minimize VLC & open it up again using the iOS task manager the file starts to play with stuttering & hiccups (and only in some cases).

Gonna need to find a way to downgrade to 2.6.2 for the time being.

Same problem on iPhone and iPad.
Either with videos from Freebox and Mac OS stream with Playback application.
Stored videos on iPhone play normally.
All worked fine on 2.6.2

It's a 7490 with actual firmware. Streaming and access of NAS over PC is without any problems possible!

Thanks a lot for all your feedback. We identified the reason for this issue and will push an update to Apple for review this weekend.

This is resolved in 2.6.4 released today.
This version not resolve for UPNP with Url Scheme launcher.
I'm use this ( ➜ vlc://http//192.168.1.xx:xxxxx) to watch streaming in my network
This Url Scheme used to be fine for VLC, but not working after version 2.6.3 and latest version 2.6.4 doesn't fix it.

Hope you can fix this,
Thanks!

This scheme is outdated and might not perform as expected anymore. Please use x-callback-url instead: http://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation: ... llback-url

Hi, Felix Paul Kuehne
Thanks for your help!

But I'm not sure how to use the x-callback-url.
After reading your link, I tired this ➜ vlc-x-callback://x-callback-url/stream?url=http//192.168.1.xx:xxxxx
But it not work! :( VLC Pop-up this ➜ VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http//192.168.1.xx:xxxxx'
(*This url (http//192.168.1.xx:xxxxx) work fine if manual input in VLC)

Please help me to create x-callback-url for streaming http//192.168.1.xx:xxxxx
Thanks

You miss a colon after the protocol definition. Further, you need to encode the URL you pass within x-callback-url.
