iOS : VLC Subtitles for Video, played from Connected accessory

Hello,
I am a beginner to iOS programming.
I have integrated VLC library into my iOS app, I am trying to use Subtitles feature. I have a video(.avi) and a subtitle file(.srt) in the same folder with the same name; However, when I tap on Subtitles, it doesn't show any subtitles and the array "videoSubTitlesNames" always returns nothing. Can someone please help? What am I doing wrong here?
Also - for a small cross check, please tell me the delegate call backs(if any) that I have to do for this operation.
