Hello,

I am trying to download a video via VLC for iOS and when I paste the link I receive a 401 error. However when I paste the same link into the network stream, it pops up a prompt for my username and password and then allows me to stream the video.

Is there anyway to have the same prompt appear for the download option? Thanks

No, this was shamefully ignored when implementing the download feature. I got a ticket on the bug reporter (offline until tomorrow morning) to make sure this gets into a subsequent release. Sorry for any inconvenience.
