VLC randomly restarting iphone 4S

I have problem of VLC restarting my phone during playback.
Im using latest version of VLC on my iOS 7.1.1 on iphone 4S.
Im sure its not a ios version bug, as i was using VLC for a year on the 7.1.1, without restarting phone during a playback.
When i play my series on my device (stored locally, on my iphone) it randomly crashes, restarting my device (showing apple logo etc. ). Sometimes it lets me watch the whole episode, and sometimes crash occurs within first minutes, its random. I tried with closing all other apps as i suspected it was because of only 512 ram. But no luck there.
Tried even with shutting off deinterlace and deblocking filter in options, but still no luck.
It must be connected somehow with updated decoders which were announced in the last update.
I have to congratulate the team on great subtitle character support, as i am from Balkans, where we do have letters like: š, đ, č, ć, ž, etc. all not showing correctly in the other players on App Store. Good job!
Also, one feature idea: you can add simple subtitle picking menu, to save users time of renaming subtitles to match the name of the video file, as it is in most cases different.
All the best from me
