Downloaded videos via Url not showing up

I've been trying to download files (MP4, mkv) from an online storage service but they are not showing up in the app. The app shows that they are downloading and takes the relevent time to do so.

The app also shows its using up relevant storage in the phones settings in the manage storage section in settings.

Where are the files and why aren't they showing in the VLC app?

Cannot confirm, downloading works perfectly for me. May I ask what version of the app you are using, and when was it compiled?
If I am to download a file, it downloads and is stored in 'All Files', at the top of the sidebar.

Latest version on the App Store using latest iOS. Everything up to date?

I'm baffled by it.

Did you try restarting the app by killing it in the multi-tasking view?

This should at least clear your storage and in the best case reveal the missing contents.

Do your files have a file extension as in ".mkv" or ".mp4"?
