VLC and PQI airdrive

Hi everybody.
I have this pqi airdrive http://www.pqigroup.com/prod_in.aspx?mn ... prodid=404 and I'd like to stream from it using vlc due to the fact tht The dedicated app allows only mp4 and mov file and most of mine are avi.
Is there anybody who can tell me if it's possible and how could I do it?
