download subtitles IN the iphone

Hi everyone
My point is, I am not always at the computer and very often I have no access to it for days so, if I put few movies in VLC and realise that some of the srt subtitle files are not very good, I cannot download new subs directly from the net into the VLC ios app.
I realised that, if I download with Icab(for example) an srt file from subscene.com and then try to open it with VLC(in "open with other app" option), it won't give me the option to select this app cause the app does not recognise it as one of its files(which is funny, since the app use the files as a subtitlea along with the video).
I've also tried to change the file name as mp4 and then was recognised and transferred to the app, but once in VLC when I renamed it back, the file still cannot be recognised as srt file and therefore cannot be used as a subtitle. Subsequently I tried the "download" part, went to subscene.com and, where is says "download the subtitle" copied the url and pasted it on the VLC url section to download, then it said "this url is not supported, use http or https blabla" but in fact I used a http:// url so I still cannot figure out what would be an easy way to get a new subtitle on the VLC app without using the computer.
Another thing I would like to know is, how can I delete other subtitle files since cannot be seen in the "All Files" part of the app, I can only see the videos there. Any help highly appreciated. wonderful app.
Many thanks!!
