Ok, I'm running VLC 2.1.4 on a Mac which is running OS 10.9.4

Latest VLC Remote for Iphone 5s running iOS 7.1.2

When I recently upgraded to VLC 2.1.4 on my Mac, the remote is no longer working. I have reinstalled it, run the helper, gone through all the trouble shooting suggestions... and nothing. It sometimes has the cone, sometimes nothing at all. NO, I don't have a firewall. It's always worked fine before. It's only since the upgrade. Any help?

You should ask the author of the Remote App.

As we do not know the name of the app you are using, we cannot really help you. Generally, you can check if a password is set for the http interface.
