VLC for iOS version 2.3.0
VLC for OSX version Version 2.1.4 Rincewind (Intel 64bit)
The iOS app is unable to see the DLNA streams that the
HDHomerRun HDTC-2US is advertising. Everything shows up fine on the desktop app.
As reported on the Silicon Dust forum
here, the folks at SD suggest that this is a VLC issue.

I'm seeing identical behavior. Since the device in question is relatively rare, is there any kind of data/logging we can gather to help diagnose the problem?

Hi
I'm also seeing something similar to this issue with the iOS app. I have a Raspberry Pi running OpenELEC and Bubble uPnP running on my android device, both as uPnP servers. Sometimes one or both devices show up in VLC, sometimes neither do. In particular, when the OpenELEC does appear, no media files (or anything else) are shown.
Looks like it's not just the home run that has this snag. Standing by to provide debugging info.
Cheers
Charlie

Glad to hear it!
Any info on when a version with this fix will be released? I've been looking for a release schedule, but am having no luck.
Cheers
Charlie

I confirmed that UPNP discovery of the HDHomeRun is fixed in the 2.4 beta for iOS.
Alas, AC3 audio isn't supported, so I get picture, but no sound.
Not sure if the lack of AC3 support is technical or legal, but a bummer either way.
