I installed VLC on my iPhone 5s and want to view the videos which are already on my iPhone. How is that possible, what do I have to do?

You cannot, as this is not allowed by apple / iOS. You need to transfer your videos directly to the VLC app, by the provided methods via Wifi, iTunes, Dropbox and so on.
