VLC 2.2.2 iOS still does not play AC3 audio

Same issue as above where mkv files stored locally on my iOS device won't play audio anymore. These same files will play audio if I stream them from a network location.

We don't support AC3 playback in some locations. This should be covered by a few threads on this forum - sorry for the inconvenience.

It worked prior to 2.2.1 with locally stored files; although sometimes I had to start stream, and restart for it to work. Seems like a retrograde move. Are there plans to address this?

I am from the czech republic and I tried changing the timezone to some Canadian cities, it didn't work though
