I was wondering if there is a way to unlink the VLC for iOS from the local network?

I'm bit sure what you mean by this. VLC for iOS stops looking for local networking services as soon as you navigate away from the respective tab.

True, that happens but I don't want VLC to find anything when that tab is pressed.
In another words an option to be able to choose wether I want local network to find anything or not. Like a login window.

Sorry, there is no option for this. If you don't want to use it, don't click on the menu item. Regrettably, there is no way for you to hide it or protect it with a password. This would be easy to implement and since VLC for iOS is fully open source.. :)

It's not for me. It's to prevent others on the same network to access stuff they shouldn't have access to

Then you just should disable access on the respective servers. Doing so in VLC on the client side does not really make sense.
