Is there a way that I can play media on my VLC without for iPhone to VLC for Android TV?

I would like to play the media on VLC on my iPhone and cast it on VLC on my Android TV device (onn. TV Pro 4K).

I’m having issues figuring out what to do. I’ve tried adding the local IP to ‘Streams’ and ‘Add a new server to favourites’ but neither worked.

I’m not seeing not much else l can do. I’m not seeing anything in settings (Android TV) to enable streaming.

I have obviously originally tried the casting option, but that kept flicking the player and closed. So, I think that’s off the table.

Casting would be the supported and endorsed way. Sad to hear that it does not correctly work for you.

Did you consider installing VLC directly on your Android TV for playback?

It is installed on my Android TV.
