VLC for Apple Tv : Dolby Atmos?

Why doesn’t VLC support Atmos pass through, comparing dune 2 from hbo max app to vlc file with atmos does not pass through even with the pass through option enabled.. any fix?

HBO Max uses AVPlayer for playback that uses private API to enable this feature. This API is no longer available to VLC since tvOS 11 so we are unable to support this feature. please complain to Apple - that's the only thing that can help!
