Empty file in DLNA UPnP and cannot connect SFTP server

After VLC on my Apple TV auto-update today to version 3.5.2. I cannot browse my file at all.

1. It shows an "empty folder" message when I select my Ubuntu DLNA UPnP from the local network. it was ok yesterday. I can also browse the folders and watch videos on my Windows machine through the DLNA.
2. I try to connect to my server through SFTP instead, usually it works, but the connect button cannot be selected.


Does anyone know a way to work around this issue?

I have the same problem on 3 different Apple TV boxes since the update the other day, I wish I'd known and turned auto update off.

I’m seeing the same “Empty Folder” for my MiniDLNA servers on iPhone and AppleTV. Other Apps see the content, but VLC has better media player.

Is there a way to downgrade the App until it is fixed?

Apple is reviewing an update right now that will fix this problem. I expect them to finish the review tonight.

After updating to version 3.5.3 this morning, I can browse my DLNA server. Thanks for the VideoLAN team.

However, I still have the second problem. I cannot connect to my SFTP server. The Connect button is always disabled. Hope that can be solved as well.

Yes, the fix for that is done and will come next week.

It is working again in v3.5.3 (both iPhone and AppleTV)!
