I have tried on two different iPhones, and 2 different DLNA servers (readymedia and the one built into Windows), but VLC for iOS seems to not be able to download any songs with a "/" in their title.
Is there any way to get around this?

"/" is an illegal character in a file name on almost any platform so such a bug is a bit expected. I'm not sure if this is fixable.
