Hi,
Please could you make "Automatically Play Next Item" work on the iPhone in the Browse view for Local Files?
It works in the SMB Browse view - but not for Local Files on the phone.
To give some context... I have 7,000 music files stored in folders (genre / artist / album). Each album has its own folder, with track names prefixed "01", "02", etc. I like to browse around the folder tree, as it's easier to navigate than using the "Audio" tab - because the Artists / Albums / Songs / Genres categories aren't very effective when you have 7,0000 tracks including lots of classical music.
So... I can browse to an album via the menus: "Network", "Local Files", "Locations / On My iPhone", "VLC".
Reaching an album in that browsing view, the tracks appear in the right order (01_Title1.mp3, 02_Title2.mp3, etc).
Clicking on track 01, it plays happily, but it doesn't carry on and play tracks 02, 03, etc, even though "Automatically Play Next Item" is switched on in Settings.
It would be great if Automatically Play Next Item worked in the Browse view! In the meantime, is there a workaround? I have a Linux machine to hand, so I could possibly knock up a script to auto-generate one playlist per album folder, if that would help somehow.
This is in VLC 3.4.7 (33) running on an iPhone XR under iOS 16.6 (20G75)
Thanks and best regards
