The behavior of the close button is the following:

When the video is playing:
- When pressing the close button, the player will minimize and keep playing the media with the mini player.
- When long pressing the close button, the playback will stop and the player will close.

When the playback is paused:
- When pressing the close button, the player will close.

So my problem with audio streaming from url via x callback https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... 75#p538075 is actually the mini player being closed while maximized or minimized (depending on some action delay). Instead of having media to play replaced with the new url.
