I don't know if this is an iOS issue or a VLC issue, so I'll start here.
After a recent update of one of them, my iPad is now dropping the audio track when resuming playback from an auto-lock state. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:
- I stream videos from a local DLNA (UPnP) server.
- Sometimes, I have to pause the video. Within 5 minutes of inactivity, the iPad turns off.
- When I turn on the iPad, VLC is still opened and paused. I press play to resume the video...audio and video are now playing normally.
- After 20-30 seconds, the audio goes silent but the video keeps playing. It feels like the audio buffer has emptied.
- The only way to fix this is to close/reopen VLC and navigate back to the video.
Again, this only happens when the iPad resumes from a sleep state. Pausing/resuming before the iPad sleeps works fine. My VLC build is the latest available in the Apple store (3.3.12 build 447). The recent iOS update didn't fix the issue.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
